About the game

Step into a plague doctor’s mask and survive escalating nights in a first-person dark-fantasy roguelite. Harvest ichor from the infected, combine relics and upgrades, and return to your refuge to prepare for the next hunt.

Make the plague your weapon

Combine staff attacks, volatile potions, and plague-powered abilities. Choose a loadout and fight your way through the infected.

Shape every hunt

Collect ichor, choose relics, and stack upgrades as the night becomes more dangerous. Claim lantern ranks and relic caches, then return to the refuge to prepare for the next hunt.

Four hunting grounds

Explore Black Hollow’s fields, Ashen Abbey’s ruined sanctuary, the drowned settlement of Mournwater, and Cinderwatch Foundry.

Face the night together

Play solo or join up to three friends online. Combine your loadouts, face nightly bosses, and keep your fellow doctors in the fight.

Development update

0.9.3: Simpler hunts, cleaner screen, smoother play

The latest development update trims overlapping systems and keeps the focus on the hunt.

Run Research is gone. XP is for leveling up, with a streamlined pool of 97 relics.
Lanterns grant a rank after 30 kills in the ring. Relic caches arrive at 12 and 30 kills each night.
Blood Moon and Dread Hour remain, with fewer overlapping markers and damage numbers.
A clearer tutorial, performance fixes, improved sound, and more readable Steam Deck menus.
